B.Sc Medical Imaging Technology is an undergraduate program from Jain (Deemed-to-be) University. There is an increasing demand for experts in the fields of radiography photography, radiotherapy, radiotherapy patient care, radiotherapy quality assurance, radiation hazards control etc. The health care industry has been facing acute scarcity of trained Radiological Technicians/ Technologist. The program shall meet the growing needs of professionals in the field of clinical radiography, radiation safety, image processing technology, imaging modalities, etc.

Program Outcome

  • To provide patient care & assist in diagnosing the patient in an accurate manner & direction to achieve the optimum result by the Medical Professionals.
  • To create awareness of various radiations safety measures meant for staff members and the general public.
  • To gain sufficient theoretical knowledge to understand the scientific concepts underpinning radiotherapy.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of x-ray physics and related math.
  • Recognize quality diagnostic images for both technical and anatomical criteria and have the technical ability to correctly repeat images when the quality is not adequate for diagnostics.
  • Demonstrate radiation safety for self, staff, and patients as set forth standards.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of advanced multiple ARRT imaging modalities and the need for lifelong learning.
